플러싱꽃집
After the Korean economic collapse known as IMF occured, Tina Kim had no choice but to close her failing business and immigrate to America to start her new life. But she recalls her mindset to be curiously optimistic, confident in her ability to adjust to a new country and start her new life. She called it Tina 2.0. In her interview, owner of the cute Flushing Garden Florist, Tina Kim describes how even a humble flower shop is forced to navigate a changing Flushing environment.
From the evolution of her customer base, to the incorporation of the internet, Tina Kim describes how she once again felt no issues with her ability to adapt. Despite what landscape her future brings, Tina invites it with an endearing heart.
Tina worked at the shop with her sister, the original owner of the shop, for many years before acquiring it from her when she retired. The front of Flushing Garden Florist always remains a jungle of plants but the back is where much of the hard labor is done, from pruning to replotting and more.
